Stoke Prior Steam Rally, (14th - 15th September, 2019)

Such events occur all over the country in the summer months, they are easily found by using your favourite search engine and may have anything between a handful of steam engines and hundreds (as at the Great Dorset Steam Fair which could probably be fairly described as having an excess of riches). The Stoke Prior Rally is at the 'small' end of the scale, basically the child of Keith Shakespeare who sadly passed away in July. The rest of the family who had always assisted him, took up the reins and produced this year's event and will continue to do so. It was only the briefest of visits because the main business of the day was visits to Hidcote and Snowshill Manor in the North Cotswolds. It would be some time before the Grand Parade so I suppose I was lucky to see three engines move. Unfortunately, the sun angle was not good for any of the others..
