This is one of a series of pages which I have uploaded to illustrate facets of steam rallies we have attended in the UK. Such events occur all over the country in the summer months, they are easily found by using your favourite search engine and may have anything between a handful of steam engines and hundreds (as at the Great Dorset Steam Fair which could probably be fairly described as having an excess of riches). Not surprisingly, most of the engines I had seen here before, but six I had not, which suggests someone is trying hard! Burrell 3148 is one of the group which came over for GDSF 2018, Burrell 3739 has had a repaint since 2018 which caused me a little confusion until I checked carefully.
It was good to see both of David Bosworth's engines together as 'The Foster' (left) is usually working a saw bench. Following major work, it's paintwork is dazzling enough to regularly confuse my idiot of a camera...
