This is one of a series of pages I will be uploading to
illustrate facets of steam rallies we have attended in our part of the UK. Such events occur all over the country in the summer months, they

After the special turnout of Sentinels in 2015, like 2016 this
year's offering returned to normal. Sentinel 6426 is a 'tractor' but is shown here as
it always appears grouped with the wagons at the rally. The presence of the
visiting Trevithick replica locomotive meant that the wagons had to be
squeezed in among the rest of the engines which made for a very tight fit
and even though the Sentinels were now parked facing south this was not a photographic
improvement. Hence most pictures show the Sentinels returning to their pegs
after the Grand Parade on the Sunday, going up they were more or less head
first into the sun. Sentinel 3976 was present only on the Monday.
