On 25th November 1991, Jan Willem van Dorp was back hoping for a Garratt pressed into the service for the pilgrims attending a Hindu festival but all he found was overcrowded trains which would be impossible to jump off and on. Here 'Surya' leaves Janakpur on the day's first train for Jaynagar. (JD)
