Raj Steam - Northeastern Frontier Railway

Mark Carter travelled on 165 Up Janata Express, Howrah to New Bongaigaon on 24th September 1978. As this water stop for ER WP 7272 went unrecorded, I cannot say whether this was in Eastern Railway or Northeastern Railway territory, but at worst it was a near miss. (MC)
