Peter Michie recorded WDM1 17041 at Mankapur on a Lucknow to Gorakhpur 'express' on 20th February 1984. This is an area where BG and MG were entwined and it seems that Lucknow - Gorakphur had already been converted. These WDM1 were built for the ER in 1957 and no doubt it was happy to see them go. (PM)
