The line inland from Surat to Bhusaval ran more or less from west to east and by 26th November 1979, train 75 Passenger was still rostered for a WP. Jan Willem would have joined the train just before dawn and he started photography at first light as WP 7108 made a traditional gentle start from Chalthan. (JD)
