Raj Steam - Northern Railway Gallery

The Baldwin HP 4-6-2s were 'Queens of the Desert' with their giant 12 wheel bogie tenders. The initial batch from 1924 were successful and followed by a slightly modified batch in 1948. 31414 was one of these and seen at Jodphur on 6th November 1976. Named 'Fort of Jodhpur' it was considered the royal engine. (RD)
