On the face of it, PT 4-6-4T 31516 at Hanumangarh shed on 2nd February 1981 would have been a surprising survivor from a class of just four. However, for an oddball locomotive it was unusual in having been built as late as 1949, being taken by the Bikaner State Railway when its intended sale to Burma fell through. (BR)
