By way of contrast, 4-6-4T PTS 957 at Bhavnagar Terminus on 8th November 1976 was a post war locomotive from Vulcan Foundry with piston as opposed to slide valves. Like their Northern Railway counterparts they were intended for Burma but these ones were never renumbered into the All India series. (RD)
