Ajmer was the main workshop for the Bombay, Baroda and Central Indian Railway (BBCIR) and built over 400 locomotives. 4-6-4T 333 at Ajmer on 7th November 1977 was part of class D2, by then the earlier D and D1 had all been retired. (PM)
