The North Eastern Railway possessed just one narrow gauge 'line' and that was the 2ft 6in (762mm) Clutterbuckganj Sleeper Depot near Bareilly which was actually in Northern Railway territory. The area was by no means otherwise devoid of narrow gauge railways but these were all of an industrial nature serving numerous sugar mills and these will be covered separately in due course.
