This last picture shows early Hunslet 0-4-2T 7 approaching the shed. John was now urgently ushered along the back of accumulated trains, the crowds parted temporarily and he was whisked through a small gate, which was quickly shut, leaving the mob to bang on it once they had realised the opportunity they had missed.
