At one stage, the section between Bangalore and Yelahanka which was part separate and part mixed narrow and metre gauge carried suburban traffic but by now the buses had syphoned that off and the Bangalore - Yeshvantpur section was closed. LTS 2-6-4T 512/513 were therefore redundant and stored out of use. (BA)
