E10 Rack Tank Locomotive

As the line dropped away on either side of the summit, locomotives had to be turned  at Kota Baru. On 23rd January 1978, the weather was so gloomy for E1055 that I declined to waste a colour slide on the scene! By the time I got to Padang Panjang, the sun was out, with the train in Bukit Tinggi!
