C53 Tender Locomotive

The C53 were classic 4 cylinder express passenger Pacifics and, as such, vulnerable to dieselisation. C5317 was the last of the breed and was retired to Bangil where the staff cared for it until it departed for the Taman Mini Railway Museum. Not infrequently it would be pulled out, as it had been on 6th June 1978  (RD)
