C18 Skirt Tank Engine

C1801 was the ultimate skirt tank, being superheated and with piston valves. It was photographed at Gundih. The C16, C17, C18 and C23 were originally all numbered in the same series by the NIS. They were presumably reclassified in the Japanese system according to how they had been modified. (FJ, ILS collection)
