C12 Tank Locomotive

By way of contrast with the 'simple' C11s, the later C12s were compounds, a complication which seems to have reduced their longevity. Also built by Hartmann, (in 1896), Frank Jones found C1220 simmering gently at Tanahabang shed in Jakarta. (FJ, ILS collection)
