B27 Tank Locomotive

Within a couple of years, services on the branches around Purwodadi had variously been withdrawn or dieselised and there would have been no point in sending B2709 'home' after overhaul at Madiun. Instead it was sent to Cilacap where it was reduced to pumping water for its big brothers on 26th May 1978. (RD)
