BB81 Mallet Locomotive

At the same time as more 4-6-0s (C71 class) were ordered from Nippon Sharyo, a further set of Mallets was ordered nearly 60 years after the first. The main change was the provision of superheating, consequently the new locomotives had piston valves. BB84 was at Banda Atjeh in 1972  (FJ, ILS collection)
