T & R Lees Ltd Engines in Burma

T & R Lees Ltd had their factory in Hollinworth, Manchester, England. Their engines we have seen are all of the (old) MacDonald type. Since we have seen one of their engines with a 'Burma Engineering' plate it is just possible that other engines badged for this agent are also from Lees.

This one was spotted in the Industrial Zone in Yangon, it is in poor condition:

The other two were seen working in Irrawaddy Division in 2005:

By 2009, this engine was out of use as its associated boiler had failed
