From the known dates, Peter spent a week in the area and on the 7th January 1972, he observed the northbound Gemas - Singapore and its return (pictures southbound appear in the Singapore section). Here the return working rolls into Johore Baru, as it had stopped after leaving Tanjong Pagar, Malaysian officials were in attendance. (PH)
