The Malayan Railway

This working ran on to Wakaf Baru where 901.27 is standing. From here there was a convenient ferry crossing to the state capital of Kota Baru on the other side of the river. With the proximity of the line into Thailand it would have been impractical to terminate the East Coast line there. (JB)
