The date is not known and the location is certainly not Kanthan. Most likely the picture was taken at the locomotive shed in Kuala Lumpur prior to repainting and transfer to the adjacent National Museum. Behind is one of the Wickham armoured railcars much needed in the period of the Malayan Emergency. (Ph)
