Malayan Industrial Railways

The Perak River Hydro-Electric Power Company ran thermal power stations at Batu Gajah and Malim Nawar, fuel (assumed bunker oil by 1970) arriving by rail, and maintained locomotives to shunt its interchange sidings. Ruston and Hornsby 4wDM Model 48DS (305309/1952) was at Malim Nawar on 12th February 1971. (JB)
