For much of the line's life, the rack was worked by E10 class rack tanks, although by the time enthusiasts visited, there were few of the first generation locomotives left at work. E1018 was in the yard at Padang Panjang on 22nd January 1978. E1016 is preserved at Taman Mini in Jakarta. (RD)
