This is not strictly working steam. In August 1993, I organised the hire of a special train with 38 from Tebing Tinggi to Pematang Siantar. I asked for an 'ordinary coach' for authenticity so the railway authorities gave me a diesel multiple unit trailer car. We were 80km from Medan so we had no choice but to accept it. (RD)
