The D51 were built by Hartmann in 1920 for the similarly gauged (1050mm) Hedjaz Railway in the Middle East but diverted to Java after the First World War left large parts of it in ruins. D5104 was at Kroja on 10th May 1976 and unusually for this class had full smoke deflectors. D5106 is preserved at Ambarawa. (RD)
