Gunung Bayu had a solitary DB Mallet, 11. It mainly worked the transfer trains to and from the mainline at Perlanaan before it was converted to dual gauge to allow main line access to the mill area. The sun was about to set as I hitched a lift down to the main road to head for my base on 28th May 1977. (RD)
