Surviving Garratt Locomotives
Angola
Trevor has been told by Mr. Almerindo Magalhaes
from Luanda
that just
one Garratt survives in the country (30th June 2023).
364 is apparently being retained for a putative museum.
However, there are still at least two Garratts lying derelict
by the trackside but identification is not easy.
364 is reported inside the works at Huambo for cosmetic restoration (17th March 2024)
