The 600mm gauge CF do Porto Amboim a Gabela ran 130km inland from the coast to the Amboim plateau at an altitude of 1100m. It was built to serve extensive coffee plantations in the hills. Bagnall 2-6-2T 40 is coasting downhill through country which had a distinctively European feel to it in 1974. (GM)
