This isolated branch was the line that everyone forgot, or so it seemed. Olaf Güttler arrived at Quelimane on 9th June 1998 to find Baldwin 2-8-2 409 sidelined with a damaged cylinder. A mere three days later the cylinder was repaired and some leaky tubes sealed. (OG)
