The branch line from Inhambane lasted with steam longer than any other except that from Quelimane. By 19th June 1998, it had effectively succumbed and this unidentified 2-6-2 (thought to be 572, but maybe 502 or 571) outside the shed would had been one of the last working locomotives. (OG)
