The 750mm (2ft 6in) gauge Caminhos de Ferro Gaza in southern Moçambique runs from the provincial capital Vila de João Belo (later known as Xai-Xai). In July 1969, before the civil war which wrecked the country, Alco 2-6-0 082 glints in the afternoon sun at Chicomo, one of two northern termini. (BR)
