Pakis Baru locomotives for sale

Pakis Baru is a sugar mill in the north of Central Java, Indonesia. For many years until the mill closed in 1999, these immaculately presented steam locomotives on its 750mm gauge railway were one of the highlights of my annual Java tour. Now the mill has been sold and it is likely that the machinery will be relocated to South Sumatra. To fund this move, the new owners are keen to sell as many of their historic steam locomotives as possible and already #1 and #5 have been sold to a UK purchaser. Although the condition of the locomotives is good, the asking price is not cheap and only serious prospective purchasers should contact me for further information and I will then put them in contact with the owners - the filter is necessary to remove any 'time wasters', I am only interested in finding good homes for some old friends and am not asking for any commission. Please email me on webmaster@internationalsteam.co.uk.

Should anyone wish to visit the mill to inspect the locomotives then I have contacts in Java who would be more than happy to assist.
