The Bruchhausen-Vilsen to Asendorf Railway, 2012

Graham Lightfoot reports, click here for an earlier 2010 report from James Waite.

In May, I made my first ever visit to the metre gauge line at Bruchhausen-Vilsen, some 90 minutes drive from Hamburg. They operate trains each weekend on the line with two return workings to
Assendorf, a distance of 7.8 km. On Sundays a railcar also makes one return trip. There are a few standard gauge items there as well.
