Burkina Faso 2006 |

As stated on my Africa page, the only steam relic found by Thomas Kautzor in Burkina Faso in 2006 was this 1944 Ransomes and Rapier steam crane #151 at Bobo Dioulasso. Chris Capewell adds - "This Burkina Faso crane was built as one of a pair for the Ministry of Supply ( 'to be suitable for use in Burma or Sudan' ) and then advertised as surplus post war. The sister was bought by NZGR and converted to 3'6" gauge - presently preserved in working order at Silverstream".
