Why not set up your own sugar mill? You don't need much venture capital to make Gula Java, this is Colo in Central Java! First grow some sugar cane in your back garden and then crush it to get the juice out:

Everyone knows brown (black?) sugar is good for you. Here is the end product, used mainly for making sweet soy sauce.
