Having been to Banbury in 2016 and been a little disappointed, we returned in 2017 but this time we spent the afternoon at the Abbey Pumping Station (Leicester Museum of Science and Technology) where we were promised an eclectic mixture of all sorts of steam power around the central attraction the four original Gimson beam engines. It's a great place although I'm a sucker for active beam engines.
